Terms of Use

This is a translation provided for convenience. These terms are governed by Brazilian law (including LGPD, Law 13.709/2018); in case of conflict, the Portuguese version prevails.

1. Acceptance of the Terms

By accessing or using the Meus Desafios (My Challenges) app ("Service"), you agree to comply with these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

The Service is intended for people aged 13 or older. By using Meus Desafios, you represent that you are at least 13 years old. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

If you are between 13 and 17 years old, you must use the Service with the guidance and consent of your parents or guardians. Because the app includes calorie and weight tracking features, it does not replace medical or nutritional advice — consult a healthcare professional before adopting calorie goals or weight-change goals.

3. Description of the Service

Meus Desafios is a habit-tracking platform that lets you log and monitor daily challenges related to hydration, calories, sleep and exercise, with a system of points, streaks and rankings among friends.

4. User Account

To use the Service, you need to create an account by signing in with Google or Apple (Sign in with Apple) — the only available ways to access it; we do not use passwords. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for all activity carried out in it.

5. Scoring and Rankings

Scores, streaks and ranking positions are calculated exclusively by the server based on the logs submitted. The calculations are deterministic and final. It is not possible to manually change scores or ranking positions.

6. Social Features

When you use the Service's social features, you acknowledge that:

  • Friend requests require explicit acceptance. If both users send each other a request, the friendship is accepted automatically
  • When you accept a friendship, you and your friends start seeing each other in the friends ranking: each friend sees your name, your handle and your total points, as well as your position. The details of each challenge (water, calories, exercise and sleep) and your weight remain private
  • In explicitly created private groups, group members can see the names, pictures, handles and scores of the other members
  • You can end a friendship at any time, which immediately removes mutual access to statistics

7. Location and Rankings

Meus Desafios does not use location to build rankings in the current MVP. The old "Near me" ranking has been removed.

  • The friends ranking is derived only from accepted friendships and must return only the authenticated person's result
  • Private-group rankings may show members and scores only to participants of that group

8. User Content

By submitting content to the Service (such as profile pictures), you grant Meus Desafios a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to store, display and transmit that content solely for the operation of the Service. You represent that you hold the necessary rights to the submitted content. When you delete your account, all content is removed.

9. Acceptable Use

When using the Service, you agree to:

  • Provide true and accurate information
  • Not use the Service for unlawful purposes
  • Not attempt to access other users' accounts
  • Not interfere with the operation of the Service
  • Not manipulate data to obtain undue scores or positions

There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. It is prohibited to publish, submit or display — in any field visible to other people, such as your name, handle (@), profile picture, group name or description and duel messages — content that:

  • is offensive, obscene, pornographic, violent or incites hatred;
  • harasses, threatens, intimidates or bullies any person;
  • is discriminatory on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or any other characteristic;
  • impersonates another person or presents a false identity (fake profile);
  • is spam, a scam or misleading information;
  • violates applicable laws or third-party rights.

Likewise, any abusive, harassing or stalking behavior toward other users is prohibited.

You can report content or users and block abusive people directly in the app. We review the reports we receive and may, at our discretion and without prior notice, remove content, warn, suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules (see section 12). Reports can also be sent to contato@meusdesafios.com.br.

10. Intellectual Property

All Service content, including brand, design, code and text, is the exclusive property of Meus Desafios or its licensors. No intellectual property rights are transferred to the user through use of the Service.

11. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. Meus Desafios is not responsible for health decisions made based on the data logged in the app. Always consult a healthcare professional before starting any exercise program or changing your calorie intake.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without prior notice, in case of violation of these Terms.

You can request the closure of your account at any time by emailing contato@meusdesafios.com.br. After closure, your personal data will be removed as described in the Privacy Policy.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil. Any dispute will be submitted to the courts of the user's place of residence, in accordance with the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code.

14. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The date of the last update is always shown at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
